Smartwatches fulfill a number of roles, ranging from health and fitness tracking to serving up notifications and music playback. And they’ve grown in popularity during the pandemic, which means there’s a good chance you or someone you know recently acquired one.

However, we wondered whether smartwatch owners used their devices less often when they wore long sleeves. We posed this question to our readers last week, and here are the results of that poll.

Do you use your smartwatch less when wearing long sleeves?

Results

Of the 1,101 votes cast in this poll, 60.58% said they didn’t use their smartwatch less when wearing long sleeves. In other words, it seems most readers feel a long sleeve isn’t enough of a deterrent for regular watch use.

However, 28.79% of respondents said they did indeed use their smartwatch less when wearing clothing with long sleeves. At least one reader noted that they had more than one layer of long-sleeved clothing on in winter.

Finally, 10.63% of polled readers said they weren’t sure whether they used their smartwatch less often when wearing long sleeves. This is understandable, as I doubt it’s something many people thought about before.
