Editor’s note: We’ll be updating this list of the best digital photo frames regularly as new devices launch.

PhotoShare Smart Digital Photo Frame

You will notice a trend in this list: we prefer digital frames that look like traditional photo frames. This is one of them, and it has a straightforward, elegant design that makes it look less like a tech gadget.

The 1080p display is excellent, considering this is only an 8-inch frame. The 8GB storage should hold over 5,000 images, which can be sent through email, Google Photos, and other apps. It’s one of the best digital photo frames you can buy, considering the features, definition, aesthetics, and price point.

Dragon Touch Digital Picture Frame

The Dragon Touch Digital Picture Frame offers a classic design with great tech inside. It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen with a 1,280 x 800 resolution. You can store up to 40,000 photos in its 16GB memory, and Wi-Fi/cloud capabilities expand its usability and social features.

Pix-Star 15-inch

Pix-Star digital photo frames come in multiple sizes, so we are switching things up by adding the 15-inch version to this list. Though this one is not as pretty or classic-looking as the other best digital photo frames, it’s a great option when smaller photo frames are just not enough.

The 15-inch LED display comes with a 1,024 x 768 resolution, which isn’t great for a larger screen, but it also isn’t inadequate for appreciating images from a reasonable distance. Extra features include a remote, 8GB of internal storage, support for USB/SD cards, iOS/Android apps, email sharing, and motion sensors.

Skylight Frame

The Skylight Frame has a gallery-style design with white borders around the image. It is made to look simple and elegant, and the same philosophy is applied to its operation.

You can add images to the frame via email, and there are no other bells and whistles to worry about. Other features include 8GB of storage and a 10-inch 1,280 x 800 IPS display. Nice and simple.

Nixplay Smart Digital Picture Frame 10.1 Inch

It’s a very versatile frame. You can share images and videos from your phone using an app or email. You can also link Google Photos to it, as well as Dropbox, Facebook, and Instagram. There’s a motion sensor so that the frame isn’t displaying images and wasting energy when no one is around. It even works with Alexa!

Aluratek 10-Inch Digital Photo Frame

The best digital photo frames can’t look more classic than the Aluratek 10-inch Digital Photo Frame. Its wooden aesthetic is timeless, and the company has added a gallery-style white border.

Screen resolution is slightly lower at 1,024 x 600. You don’t get fancy apps, Wi-Fi connectivity, or any other cool features. Instead, you can use a USB flash drive or an SD card to get your images on the photo frame. These corner cuts will be reflected in the price, though.

Aura Carver Luxe Digital Picture Frame

The Aura Carver Luxe is one of the best digital photo frames around. For starters, the design is simple, clean, and very reminiscent of traditional picture frames. The 10.1-inch display features a great 1,920 x 1,200 definition.

Aura has thrown in unlimited cloud storage for free. Owners can use the official app to send images to their Aura-connected frames via Wi-Fi. Another great addition we don’t often see is a feature called “Intelligent Photo Pairing,” which can display a couple of similar images at once.

BSIMB Digital Picture Frame

BSIMB used to be primarily known for its budget photo frames, but the company has upped its game with its latest launches. This 11-inch version has a wooden look and a white border to help images stand out. The display has also been improved to a 1080p resolution, and it happens to sport a touchscreen. Other features include 16GB of storage, an official app, email support, and a motion sensor.

Aluratek 7 Inch LCD Digital Photo Frame

All the best digital photo frames listed above are great, but they can also be expensive. The Aluratek 7-inch IPS LCD Digital Photo Frame is among the most affordable on this list.

With that said, the frame also isn’t too much to write home about. The 7-inch IPS-LCD screen has a 1,024 x 600 definition. It has no remote, no battery, and no touchscreen. It can use an app, though, which is a great feature to have.

Samsung The Frame

Samsung’s The Frame could be the very best digital photo frame in existence. It doubles as a frame and television, and it comes in standard (large) TV sizes. Not to mention the 4K definition, HDR, Quantum Dot panel, which none of the other digital frames in this list get even close to. This screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it the best alternative to showcase your photographs.

The television has a white border to highlight gallery-style images, and it even has a motion sensor. It can activate itself only when people are in the room, therefore saving energy. All that said, Samsung’s The Frame TVs won’t come cheap. We’ve also seen much more expensive TVs hit the market, though.

Although its primary function isn’t a photo frame, we’d also like to recommend smart displays. These double as a digital photo frame, but can also do much more. Check out our favorite picks below.
