T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 price plans confirmed, 16GB model to cost $229.99

Considering the wide availability of Samsung Galaxy S3, one would assume that US carriers will try to lure customers by lowering the price of the phone. That’s not going to happen if you’re purchasing the Samsung Galaxy S3 from T-Mobile. A leaked internal pricing plan of T-Mobile Galaxy S3, which was later confirmed by T-Mo to Android Central, shows that the phone will initially cost $30 more than what other carriers are charging.

Here’s what Magenta is saying:

“Starting tomorrow, T-Mobile will offer the Samsung Galaxy S III in 16GB or 32GB memory options paired with T-Mobile’s Value or Classic service plans.

Available with a qualifying Value voice and data plan with a two year service agreement, the Galaxy S III will cost an out-of-pocket down payment of $229.99 (16GB) or $279.99 (32GB) with 20 equal monthly payments of $20 per month via T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

Also offered with a qualifying Classic voice and data plan, the Galaxy S III will cost $279.99 (16GB) after a $50 mail-in-rebate card or $329.99 (32GB) after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement.”

Now, don’t be pulling your hair out just yet. Though the initial cost of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is higher compared to other carriers, one can argue that the overall cost of keeping the phone for the next two years is still a competitive one.

If you don’t want to be bothered by contracts, Early Termination Fees and the likes, you can always get the phone outright at the full price of $629.99, especially if you live in T-Mobile’s Top 29 Markets and don’t mind making that trip to the stores today.
