Samsung Galaxy Camera with LTE hits Verizon stores today

Are you looking to get a new point-and-shoot camera this year? If you’re on Verizon, you may want to consider grabbing the Samsung Galaxy Camera. After it was officially announced two days ago, the 4G LTE-enabled Galaxy Camera has finally arrived on Big Red.

Starting today, you can go to Verizon stores and online to purchase the Jelly Bean-based camera, where it’s selling for $549.99.

The Galaxy Camera is a fully connected device, which means it can do most things you expect from a phone – except making voice calls over cellular network. With its LTE muscle, sharing photos on your favorite social media sites will be a breeze. The device is powered by a quad-core Exynos processor and boasts a 4.8-inch display. On the camera side, you’re looking at a 16MP BSI CMOS sensor with 21x super long optical zoom.

If you already own a “Share Everything” account on Verizon, you can add a new 4G data plan for the device for only $5 a month. That’s $5 less than the tablet rate.  And unlike the white-only variant that AT&T is selling, you can also get the Galaxy Camera in black.
