TL;DR

Nothing is set to launch its first product, the Ear 1 true wireless earbuds, later this month. The Carl Pei-founded company has now confirmed a few features details of the buds.

For starters, the Ear 1 buds will pack “state-of-the-art Active Noise Cancellation which uses three high definition mics,” per the company. Nothing also promises that “leading specs” will feature but failed to elaborate on what this might entail. Notably, in an interview with TechCrunch, founder Carl Pei confirmed that the Buds 1 wouldn’t feature any tech carried over from Essential.

Design-wise, expect the Buds 1 to feature some transparent elements on its body based on teasers. It’s unclear how much of the Ear 1’s design is carried over from the semi-clear Concept 1, though.

As for price, Nothing isn’t gunning for the high-end market just yet. The Ear 1 buds will feature a fairly modest $99/€99/£99, depending on where you are in the world. That’ll put Nothing’s first product up against the likes of Google’s Pixel Buds A in the fierce budget wireless earbuds market.

Nothing will officially launch the Ear 1 buds on July 27. Expect to hear more about the product in due course.
