New free live wallpaper inspired by the mountains from Google Now

There are many different ways to get your day off to a good start including trying out a new coffee shop, having something different for breakfast or even installing a new live wallpaper on your Android phone! OK, maybe coffee is better but if you like live wallpapers, as I do, then you are always be on the lookout for something cool. Recently a new live wallpaper, inspired by the mountains from Google Now, was released and it looks like its going to be a hit.

The Mountains Now Free Wallpaper shows boats sailing up a river past some very Google-esque mountains. The graphics are well drawn and the mountains certainly do remind me of the Google Now peaks. The wallpaper has a number of simple settings including frame rate, sensitivity, number of clouds, speed of the boats and an option to remove the foreground mountains. For phones with a gyroscope you can also enable a 3D parallax effect which gives the wallpaper that 3D depth effect when you move the phone in your hand.

As far as I can tell the live wallpaper is completely free and doesn’t have any ads. I tested it against two ad detector apps and nothing was found. So a big thanks to the developers! There is also a paid for version that lets you change the theme between dawn, day, dusk, and night, or you can let it change by itself depending on the time.
