Moto X is now available through Sprint and U.S. Cellular

Publish date: 2023-07-09

To be fair, U.S. Cellular started selling the handset on the 4th, but only through its website. Today marks the carrier’s first day selling the handset in-stores, where it will set customers back $199.99 on contract. For those that are new to U.S. Cellular or opening an additional line, there is also a $75 switcher bonus thrown in.

Pricing and incentives aside, the handset is the same regardless of which of the two carriers you pick. Both models come with the same black or white color choice, and the same unique specs and features.

Moving on to Sprint, the Now Network is now offering up the Moto X both in-store and online for $199.99 with contract. The carrier is even throwing in a “Lifetime Unlimited Guarantee” with the handset, which promises customers unlimited talk, text and data for the life of the line of service.

For new customers, Sprint will even offer a $100 credit towards any device you buy, which would make the Moto X just $99.99 with contract.

Moto X – Specs and special features

Pricing and incentives aside, the handset is the same regardless of which of the two carriers you end up choosing. Both models come with black or white color options, and the same unique specs and features.

As a reminder, the Moto X features a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, and is powered by Motorola’s X8 Mobile Computing system, which is made up of a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, an Adreno 320 GPU, a core for contextual computing processing and one for natural language processing.

Some of the handset’s other specs include 2GB RAM, 16 or 32GB storage, 50GB free Google Drive storage, 10.5MP Clear Pixel rear cam, 2.1MP front cam, Wi-Fi, LTE, NFC, a 2,200 mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

At a first glance, the handset’s specs might not seem to blow anyone away, but the Moto X’s real magic is it’s touchless controls and special features such as the phone’s Active Display notification system. For more details about what to expect from the Moto X, check out our full review!
