LG G Pad tablet (LG-V500) apparently spotted at the FCC

Publish date: 2022-02-12

The FCC documentation clearly reveals that we’re looking at a tablet – when looking at the Bluetooth SIG certification docs it was speculated that the LG-V500 would be a tablet rather than a smartphone – although it doesn’t mention the product’s commercial name. Considering exiting rumors, it makes sense to assume the LG-V500 is the LG G Pad while we wait for official confirmation.

However, the FCC doesn’t mention many details about the device – as in most cases with such filings, the maker of the device has filed a confidentiality request with the regulator.

From the available files (see Source link below), we can only confirm that the LG-V500 will have dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), and we already know it will pack Bluetooth capabilities.

In fact, it looks like this is the Wi-Fi version of the tablet – it’s not clear what LG’s plans for the device are, but a cellular model could also be around the corner, considering that the Bluetooth SIG also listed an LG-V507L (L as in LTE?) model that seems to be part of the same LG-V500 family.

Recent reports say that LG will likely unveil the G Pad at IFA 2013 next month. The device is said to sport an 8.3-inch display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM.

Are you looking forward to buy an LG tablet, considering the progress LG has made when it comes to making Android devices?
