Korean LG G2 features removable battery and microSD card slot

For reasons that pertain to the specifics of their home market, both Samsung and LG offer distinct versions of their flagships in South Korea. And sometimes, like in the case of the LG G2, there are significant differences between the Korean version and the models that are sold internationally.

The biggest difference between the Korean and the international version of the LG G2 is the presence on the former of two sought after features – a removable battery and a microSD card slot.

The international version of the LG G2 does have an advantage to make up for the non-user-replaceable energy unit – at 3000 mAh, the battery is 390 mAh bigger than the Korean counterpart’s. We reckon that the difference is due to the stacked battery design that LG touted during the LG launch press event.
