Huawei teases Ascend P6’s aluminum rounded corners before announcement

Set to be revealed on June 18, details regarding the Huawei Ascend P6 have been leaked on several occasions. After seeing how the black, white and pink versions should look like, we now take a look at a photo teaser of the device on Huawei’s official Facebook account.

Even though the picture shown above only reveals the upper-right corner of the upcoming smartphone, we can clearly observe a bright-white coloring scheme being chosen for the front-facing side. As with all official pictures, photographers have a way of twisting the object in the company’s advantage so there may be some variations between this model and the end product.

Besides the bright color, we can spot aluminum as the chosen material for the side frame, once again confirming previous leaks. Apart from a small camera sensor and a speaker of conventional sizes, there is nothing exceptional revealed in the image.

While trying to bring the crowd nearer to its products, Huawei presented the phone as being one of the thinnest, smallest, and most compact phones that pack a state-of-the-art display. As seen in an documentation filed with China’s FCC equivalent, we have reasons to believe the Ascend P6 of being just 6.18 mm thin, currently taking the prize of the slimmest smartphone out there.

The Ascend P6 doesn’t impress only with its thin shape but also with technical specifications. Supposedly, Huawei’s future flagship will come with a quad-core CPU of unknown origins clocked at 1.5GHz. Pairing this with a 4.7-inch screen of HD resolution, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and Android 4.1.2 should make the phone turn some heads. When it comes to camera, the back-mounted shooter is said to offer 8-megapixel quality.

Apparently, the phone will have dual-SIM support and will only weight 120 grams. We also have reasons to believe it will sell around $326.
