HTC Desire 510 coming to Sprint, Boost, Virgin Mobile and Cricket

Publish date: 2023-03-14

Late last night HTC formally announced the Desire 510, a new budget handset powered by a 64-bit capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. At the time they didn’t release very many details about when the handset would come to the US, only that a “selection of carriers” would see the device.

Now HTC has confirmed the handset will soon arrive to Sprint, Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile and Cricket. In addition to arriving to Sprint and several postpaid carriers in the United States, the Desire 510 will also debut in Canada through Fido, Telus, Rogers, Virgin Mobile and Videotron.

So what can we expect from the device? In addition to the Snapdragon 410 CPU, the Desire 510 offers 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, microSD, a 5MP rear cam, a 2100 mAh battery, LTE, Android KitKat out of box, and a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480. Aside from the horribly low display resolution, the Desire 510’s specs aren’t half bad and could make for a fairly solid competitor for the Moto G — provided the price is right.

What do you think, anyone out there interested in picking this one up or is the display a deal-breaker? How much would you be willing to pay for the Desire 510?
