HP at CES 2022: All the non-gaming launches

HP is making a number of new product announcements today at CES 2022. The company is concentrating on helping employees work better at the office, on the road, or at home. Among the new products announced today is a Chromebook made specifically for enterprise customers.

HP Elite Dragonfly products

The HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook Enterprise Edition has a 13.5-inch display with a 360-degree rotating screen. HP says this is the first-ever Chromebook with a haptic trackpad. It’s also the first Chromebook that supports the Intel vPro platform, which is optimized for enterprise users and their IT managers so it can be serviced remotely.

It supports up to 32GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. It also has some nice security features, including a privacy screen and a privacy camera. It’s due out in April but pricing has yet to be confirmed.

Also announced today is the Windows 11-based HP Elite Dragonfly G3. The 2.2lb notebook has a 13.5-inch display, a 12th-Gen Intel Core processor, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 2GB in SSD storage. It comes in either Slate Blue or Natural Silver colors and will launch in March for a still-to-be-revealed price tag.

HP at CES 2022: Other products

In terms of desktop PCs, the new HP Envy has been revealed for work and work-at-home customers. It includes support for new HP-developed software such as Duet, which allows a tablet to connect to the PC for touchscreen and pen-based editing. There’s also HP QuickDrop for wirelessly connecting your smartphone to the PC for image sharing. And don’t forget about PhotoMatch,  which enables AI-powered facial recognition for faster photo searching.

The new HP Envy includes Intel 12th-Gen processors, up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics, up to 128GB of RAM, and up to 2TB of hard drive space. It’s due out sometime this spring but pricing has not yet been announced.

The HP ZBook Firefly G9 workstation notebook was also announced. It will have features like the Nvidia T550 GPU and up to 64GB of RAM for working while on the go. It’s also due in March but pricing is not yet available.

Finally, HP is introducing a number of other laptops for business use at CES today. In addition, it’s also launching a new series of business-based PC monitors for work and video conferencing. That includes the HP Z40cG3 Curved Display monitor. HP says it is the largest conferencing monitor with an integrated 4K webcam and a 40-inch curved 5K display. It will go on sale later in January for $1,499.
