Google's Project Stream allows realtime 1080p 60fps gaming via a browser

Google just announced a new service called Project Stream which will allow gamers to play AAA games via a web browser stream. You can watch some actual footage of gameplay below of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

In its blog post announcing Project Stream, Google describes the challenges of streaming graphics-heavy games at a fast enough rate so that there’s little input lag to distract even the most experienced of gamers. Apparently, Google feels confident enough now to start testing the waters with the new streaming service.
