Google Pixel 2 XL or HTC U11 Plus? [Poll of the Week]

Publish date: 2022-01-20
Last week's poll summary: Out of almost 4,400 total votes, 30.9% of voters said they are not buying the LG V30. 24.3% said they're planning on ordering one soon, while 15% said they've already placed their orders. 16.3% of voters said they're still trying to decide if the V30 is right for them.

Google’s Pixel 2 XL is nothing short of controversial, but it’s still a great phone. It’s snappy, pretty, and offers one of the best Android experiences out there. But if the display issues are too much for you, perhaps the HTC U11 Plus is more your cup of tea.

The HTC U11 Plus was originally designed to be the Pixel 2 XL

HTC’s new flagship rivals or surpasses the Pixel 2 XL in many areas, at least on the spec sheet. It has a 6.0-inch Quad HD+ 18:9 display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6 GB of RAM, a giant 3,930 mAh battery, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. HTC’s Edge Sense is more customizable than Google’s Active Edge feature, too.

Unfortunately HTC isn’t bringing the U11 Plus to the U.S., so folks in the States can only go for the Google phone. But if both phones were available in your region, which would you choose—Google Pixel 2 XL or HTC U11 Plus? I’m happy with my decision to go with the Pixel 2 XL, though the U11 Plus looks like a great phone so far.
