Galaxy Note 3 release dates, prices and deals – all you need to know about the Canadian launch

Publish date: 2023-02-24

Just like in the USA, the Galaxy Note 3 will be available from various mobile operators in Canada, as well as local electronics retailers.

Carriers

In what follows, we’re going to tell you everything you need to know about the Canadian Galaxy Note 3 launch – the following prices are in Canadian dollars:

Rogers

Bell

Telus

Wind

SaskTel

Videotron

Mobilicity

Eastlink

Other retailers

On top of carriers, you can expect to see the Galaxy Note 3 on offer from various electronics retailers in Canada including Amazon and Best Buy.

Amazon Canada (store link) already sells unlocked Galaxy Note 3 models, although the pricing is well over what you’d pay if purchasing the device unlocked from a local mobile operator – currently prices top CDN$900.

Best Buy Canada (store link) however, has on-contract Galaxy Note 3 models in store and you can pick from Rogers (CDN$249.99), Telus (CDN$299.99) and Bell (CDN$299.99) versions. In case you pre-order both the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear in a Best Buy Canada store, you’ll get a CDN$100 discount on the Galaxy Gear, which is otherwise priced at CDN$329.99.

64GB Galaxy Note 3 and SIM card region locking

Just like in the USA, a 64GB Galaxy Note 3 model is not yet available from carriers or electronic retailers, so you’ll have to wait a while in case you’d like to buy that particular model. Alternatively, you can purchase additional microSD storage, as the phone has support for microSD cards up to 64GB.

As for the SIM card region locking thing, we’ll remind you that those buyers that will purchase unlocked, off-contract, Galaxy Note 3 models may have issues using the handset with a SIM from a different region of the world (or not). Samsung is yet to clearly explain the region locking policy and you can read more about it herealso check out this post, which explains the issues some European Galaxy Note 3 encountered because of the region lock.

Wrap up

As you can see, while many Canadian mobile operators have already listed the Galaxy Note 3 on their websites as available for purchase, some of them are yet to start selling the device, but they should start taking Galaxy Note 3 sales soon.
