Feedly launches Feedly Pro for $45 a year
Feedly has become the new favorite RSS reader since the demise of Google Reader. They were one of the first to have a full solution to Google Reader and their apps are packed with features. Now, Feedly users can get Feedly Pro. It’s a paid service that adds a few more features.
Feedly Pro comes at a price of $45 for a full year of service or $5 per month. With it you get a few new features which include:
- Article Search – Search within your Feedly feeds.
- Evernote support – You can one-click save to your Evernote notebooks.
- Premium Pocket – Allows you to one-click save to Pocket for offline reading.
- Premium Support – Puts you at the front of the support line.
Is Feedly Pro worth it? It really depends on your usage. For normal people who use Feedly to occasionally read up on the latest news, you probably won’t need the new features. If you’re a hardcore RSS user who must always have something to read, then $45 is perfectly reasonable for a year of Feedly Pro service. Given how Feedly is an incredibly useful and free resource all on its own, some people may opt to get Feedly Pro just as a thank you to developers.
For now, the Feedly Pro service is limited to the web app. However, they have stated that they’re working to bring the Pro features to all of their apps, including Android. They’ve also stated that more features will be added to Pro in future updates, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
