TL;DR

New information gleaned from the Google Play Console (via MySmartPrice) suggests the phone could have an Exynos chipset known as S5E8825. Originally, we anticipated this to be an Exynos 1200, but other leaks suggest this is actually an Exynos 1280 (via SamMobile).

The leaks suggest the chipset could feature two ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz paired with six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz. The ARM Mali-G68 GPU with four cores clocked at 1,000MHz could also be there. Allegedly, it’s a 5nm build.

If these specs pan out, the Exynos 1280 could be a pretty powerful chipset for a phone like the Galaxy A33. The leaked specs are very similar to the MediaTek Dimensity 900. That chipset has a GPU clock speed of 900MHz, so, theoretically, the Exynos 1280 could feature even better graphics performance.

In turn, the Dimensity 900 is quite similar to the Snapdragon 778G. That Qualcomm chipset appeared in last year’s Galaxy A52s, which means the Galaxy A33 could be as powerful as a higher-class Galaxy A phone. If Samsung can keep pricing the same, the Galaxy A33 could be a real winner when it comes to the specs/value ratio.
