DC Comics titles hit Nook Color, Nook Tablet and other Android tablets

Barnes & Noble on Tuesday announced that it’s bringing several DC Comics titles to its own tablets/e-readers including the Nook Color and the Nook Tablet, but also to other Android tablets that have installed the Nook for Android application.

Here are the main comic books from DC Entertainment that are “immediately” available to fans:

In total, 100 DC Entertainment titles are already available to Nook users, with more titles coming every month.

But that’s not all the good news coming from Barnes & Noble this week, as the publisher also announced a new feature for Nook Comics called Zoom View, which will be available on all DC Entertainment titles. With Zoom View, users will be able “to focus on individual panels in graphic novels and comics, allowing them to fully enjoy the stunning artwork and compelling storytelling that brings this genre to life.” In other words, your comic book reading experience has just gotten better if your main comic book reader happens to be an Android tablet.

In order to use Zoom View, you’ll have to get software update 1.4.3 for Nook Tablet and Nook Color, which will be available free of charge starting with June 27. A Wi-Fi connection is needed to download the update.
