CyanogenMod 10.2 stable builds released, CM 11 nightlies coming soon

Publish date: 2023-01-21

Stable builds of CyanogenMod 10.2, the last CM release based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, are now rolling out for supported devices.

The stable build of CyanogenMod 10.2 is the last major release for CM before the team switches over to work on CyanogenMod 11. The team will continue to provide hot-fixes and security updates for CM 10.2 as needed going forward but the ROM won’t see any major new features added until the next version number. Every device that received a build for RC1 of CM 10.2 will get a stable build. The device list includes every recent Nexus device as well as most high-end or flagship smartphones released in the past 18 months or so.

With the stable release of CM 10.2, the team will now focus on on CyanogenMod 11, which will bring Android 4.4 KitKat features to the ROM. Nightly builds of that ROM should come sometime soon, but until then nightlies of CM 10.2 will continue for those who like to live on the bleeding edge. With the move to CM 11, CyanogenMod will also retire the nightly builds of Ice Cream Sandwich-based branches of CM.

Do you use CyanogenMod on your device? Are you excited for the impending release of CM 11?
