Atari upcoming Android game titles revealed
Atari has announced the upcoming availability of some mobile games. The company has announced five games in total, though only two will be making their way into Google Play. In other words, three-out-of-the-five will be released only for iOS. That slight annoyance aside, the two that are coming to Android do seem exciting enough.
Teasing aside, the Android games include RollerCoaster Tycoon and Dungeons & Dragons: Warbands. Atari has yet to offer a specific release date for either. At this time RollerCoaster Tycoon is set for release in Q1 2013 and Dungeons & Dragons: Warbands is listed as coming soon. As for speculation into the Dungeons & Dragons release, Atari noted that the iPad version was coming in December, which sort of leads us to believe that ‘soon’ could mean November. Otherwise, touching on each of the specific titles for a moment, we have the following;
- RollerCoaster Tycoon: As an up-and-coming tycoon, players create their own custom theme park, designing coasters and building attractions to gain new visitors and increase revenue. Players can choose from pre-designed rollercoaster templates, or design their own wild creations from scratch with the Roller Coaster Editor. With modern features like sharing coaster designs with friends, the newest version of RollerCoaster Tycoon offers an experience both long-time fans and newcomers will enjoy.
- Dungeons & Dragons: Warbands: Players select one of four factions; build their Warbands from hundreds of unique units, and battle other players to secure victory for their faction, and control of Zhentil Keep. A single player campaign allows gamers to practice their tactics and unlock new units.
Nothing yet in terms of a price for either Android release. In fact, Atari has yet to mention any pricing for RollerCoaster Tycoon for any platform. In terms of the Dungeons & Dragons game, we do know that the iPad release will be priced at $2.99. With that, here is to hoping that soon really is soon.
